Having originally started as a 12 man strong group, Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Siwon, Eunhyuk, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun and Donghae are looking to take Super Junior to new heights and maintain the band’s terrific on-stage performances. Formed in 2005, this group basically presided over the second generation of K-Pop and is responsible for K-Pop’s massive international appeal. The band has flourished despite losing many of its members to military service, and are now known as one of the hottest K-Pop giants, very much like SHINee and TVXQ. Super Junior, also known as “Kings of the Hallyu Wave” released their debut studio album Super Junior 05 which sold over 90,000 copies between 2005 and 2008. However, it wasn’t until 2009 that the band became internationally successful. Since then, Super Junior have won or been nominated for numerous awards including “Best Asian Act” at the MTV Europe Music Awards and “Best International Artist” at the Teen Choice Awards.
